Waitlist privacy notice

Avern Systems Inc. operates Aftercode and is responsible for personal information collected through this beta waitlist. This notice covers the waitlist, not a future product account.

What we collect and why

When you sign up, we save your email address, signup time, and the version of the beta email consent associated with your signup. We use this information to manage the waitlist and send Aftercode beta updates and invitations. Joining does not create a product account, start a paid subscription, or guarantee an invitation date.

Cloudflare processes technical request information, including your IP address and request metadata, to deliver and protect this website. The signup endpoint uses your IP address to limit automated requests. We do not save your IP address in the waitlist database. Hosting and security logs may contain technical request information.

Your choice

Signing up is optional. The form asks for your express consent to receive beta emails. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@aftercode.app. Beta emails will also include opt-out instructions. Withdrawal does not affect the handling of information before your withdrawal.

Who handles your information

Authorized personnel at Avern Systems Inc. and service providers supporting the waitlist may process information for the purposes above. Cloudflare provides hosting, security, and database storage. Information may be processed outside your province or country, including in the United States, and may be subject to local laws. We do not sell your email address. We may disclose information if required by applicable law.

Cookies and tracking

This waitlist does not use advertising trackers or analytics scripts, and its signup form does not set cookies. The decorative cursor effect runs only in your browser and does not record or transmit mouse movements. Infrastructure providers may process technical data to operate and secure their services.

Retention and security

We retain waitlist information for as long as needed to operate the beta waitlist and communicate with consenting subscribers. When you request deletion or information is no longer needed, we will delete it, except where a legal obligation requires retention. Limited opt-out records may be retained to respect your preference. Backup and security records may remain until their normal retention periods expire.

We restrict access to waitlist information and use technical safeguards to protect it. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please do not submit passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information through this waitlist.

Your rights and contact

For questions, access or correction requests, withdrawal of consent, or deletion requests, contact Avern Systems Inc. at info@aftercode.app. We may need to verify that you control the email address before acting. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any legal limit on a request.

If your concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy regulator responsible for your location.

Changes

We will update this notice and its date when our practices change. If a new use requires your consent, we will ask before using your information that way.
